Una nicab (pronunciado: niqāb con acento en la ā; en árabe: نِقاب) es un velo que cubre el rostro y se usa por algunas mujeres musulmanas como parte de su vestido hiyab. Propio de países árabes del golfo Pérsico, se puede encontrar en lugares tan diversos como norte de África, suroeste de Asia y el subcontinente índico.

Las mujeres que llevan nicab se llaman nicabi. Sin embargo algunas prefieren la forma del participio munacaba «plural munacabát» porque nicabi se puede usar de manera derogativa (similar a hijabi con muhajaba).[1]

A causa de la gran variedad de hijab usados en el mundo islámico puede ser difícil distinguir entre un tipo de velo u otro. Los términos nicab y burka suelen ser intercambiables.[1]
