amniocentesis
Procedimiento obstétrico mediante el que se extrae una pequeña cantidad de líquido amniótico para ser analizado en el laboratorio. Se suele realizar entre las semanas decimosexta y vigésima de la gestación, con objeto de servir de ayuda en el diagnóstico de las malformaciones fetales.
